Run with Jess

A most fantastic day of running with my good friend Jess. We were treated to an absolutely gorgeous morning. After the past few days of cold, gray, wet weather. The sun and warm temps were welcomed by those of us lucky enough to be in Austin.

We ran our standard 6 mile tree loop. (making sure to touch the tree as we rounded it) It was an easy and enjoyable run. Great convo the whole way. After we soaked in barton springs, not only soaking in the magical waters, but also the glorious sun. (can you tell we missed the sun and warm temps?)

My post run snack was especially good today as it was a muffin baked by Jess. She had given us a box of treats for Christmas. Thanks! So good.

I left barton springs and headed over to Adv. Rehab for a quick session with Fluitt to work on the hammy. My buddy Peter was there working on his shin splints. Looks like that is going well. My hammy is doing good. It had gotten a bit tight during the long run last Saturday. So good to get some work on it this week.

Headed home after adv rehab and went to lunch with Kiki and her dad. Indian food. It was great.

Tomorrow I'll start my Christmas day with my usual Thursday medium long run, will do 10 to 12 miles. Should be a good way to start the holiday.

Happy ho ho...

Run long...
